INDEMNITY: All
participants in these Club runs acknowledge that they indemnify
The Vauxhall Owners Club of New Zealand Inc. Auckland and the
organisers from any possible claims that may arise as a result
of their participation.
Cars
participating in our Club runs must display a current Warrant
of Fitness, current Registration, and be insured for, at least,
third party cover.
Sunday
22 January: Clevedon Farmers Market.
Meet
at
the BP motorway service station at Drury, for a 9:30 am
departure. For
those that are not going to the VCC Rally in Wanganui, come and
join us at the Farmers Market at Clevedon and have a nosy
around and sample the produce that is grown locally and on
offer. This is no run-of-the-mill flea market. After the market
we will enjoy a picnic on the Coast by the sea.
Sunday
29 January: The
Tauranga Classic Air Show.
Entry
cost $30 per person. Two charities will benefit from the
proceeds of this event, one being Child Cancer. The airfield is
at Mt Maunganui. Club members will go as a group, so If you are
planning to go, let Peter J. know and he will let you know
where and when to meet.
Sunday
26 February: The Lyons Club Galaxy of Cars and
Swapmeet. No
longer is the Galaxy of Cars to be held at MOTAT. The new venue
is the Western Springs Speedway Stadium. The charity to benefit
from this Galaxy of Cars will be Cystic Fibrosis. Meet
by the old Sir Keith Park Airfield MOTAT entrance on Motions
Road, in the car park where we have historically met, at
9:00am. Drivers of show cars are free, adult passengers cost
$10 each and children $4. Gates close at 10:00am - no late
arrivals. Show Vehicles can leave after 3:00pm. This
is a great event that we have supported for several years and
it would be good if members could try and make this outing.
Friday
16 March to Monday 19 March:
Club
Weekend Away. This
4 day long weekend away should be great fun. Bryan is helping
with the organisation. The programme starts with a drive to
Taumaranui on the Friday (and the main trunk line railway), a
drive down the Forgotten Highway past Whangamomona, Stratford
and on to Hawera on Saturday, up to New Plymouth on Sunday, and
back on Monday (or stay on in New Plymouth). Further detail
will be given in our next newsletter.

National Vauxhall / Bedford Rally, Perth
The
37th
Annual
VOCA Rally will be hosted by Western Australia between Thursday
5 January and Thursday 12 January 2012. The Swan Valley
location has been chosen both for its historical significance
to Western Australia and for its central location to many of
Western Australia’s attractions. See Oct newsletter for
notes.

21 to
23 January 2012, VCC Rally 2012, Wanganui
The
VCC is holding an especially expanded National Rally centered
on the Wanganui racecourse, over the Wellington anniversary
weekend. They are making a special effort to include the single
marque clubs like ours. The cost is $105 per person which gives
you a rally pack and access to the Rally Village from Friday
night to Monday night. From
the latest newsletter I note there are already nearly 700
entries.
There
is accommodation available at Wanganui Girls College. It is at
an additional cost of $45 per person for bed and breakfast.
